The latest data about road accidents in India clearly states that there is one death every 4 minutes and one accident every minute. Therefore, club D2S came up with the intention of spreading the awareness to create a sense of responsibility among citizens of the country including drivers towards safe driving. The core message of D2S has been spread to masses through walakathons, nukad natak, employee participation etc in the past. We will continue in this direction to get all the attention from the society including kids, adults, NGO's, goverment bodies, educational institutes, organizations etc to make roads safer and decrease the number of death toll due to accidents.

Nukad Natak at BGS International School, Dwarka, 2014

A Nukad Natak(Street Play) under its umbrella social initiative �Drive Smart Drive Safe (Club D2S)�. The motive of the natak was to engage and make more people aware of road safety and associated aspects. The event was organised in BGS School, Dwarka, New Delhi, 2014. During the natak people were sensitised to basic safety rules to be followed on road. Also it covered important topics like use of safety belts, no drunken driving, no over speeding and many more aspects.

Painting Comptetion, Army Public School, New Delhi, 2013

A Painting Competition was organised among students of Army Public School, Delhi under its umbrella social initiative “Drive Smart Drive Safe (Club D2S)”. The motive was to engage and make more people aware of road safety and associated aspects. During the competition people were sensitised to basic safety rules to be followed on road. At the end of competition, winners were awarded with different rewards.

Walkathon, Chandigarh, 2012

Hella India Lighting Ltd launched its Road Safety Mission with a Walkathon in Chandigarh under its umbrella social initiative “Drive Smart Drive Safe (Club D2S)”. A crowd of almost 400 people took the walk from sector: 17,18,21,22 round about and sector: 17, 18, 8, 9 crossing and finally gathered at Sector 17 market on the eve of 25th August, 2012. The motive of the walk was to engage and make more people aware of road safety and associated aspects.The walkathon was organised in association with the Chandigarh Traffic Police and ArriveSAFE, a Chandigarh based NGO.During the walk people were sensitised to basic safety rules to be followed on road. Also a street play called “HallaBol” was organised towards the end of the walk that covered important topics like use of safety belts, no drunken driving, no over speeding and many more aspects.
